Arriving at Cliffside
Cliffside Acres is technically within Springfield city limits, though you wouldn't know it. The estate feels removed from everything, and that's by design.
When you arrive, follow the drive to the designated parking area and attendants will be on hand to direct you. The grounds are expansive, so allow a few extra minutes to walk to the ceremony site. Plan to be seated ten minutes before the ceremony begins.
Cliffside has two ceremony sites. The outdoor site is set beneath two century-old maple trees whose canopies have grown together over decades. The Glass House is a light-filled indoor space that feels as connected to the outdoors as it does sheltered from it. Your invitation will indicate which site your couple has chosen. Cocktail hour follows on the patio, a natural pause between the ceremony and the evening ahead. The reception is held in the main space, fully climate-controlled and designed for exactly this kind of evening.
Dress for the grounds. The ceremony site is on natural terrain, so guests in heeled shoes may want a backup or a block heel. The Glass House, patio, and reception space are paved and level throughout. Gentlemen may wish to drop their wives off at the door before parking.
Cell service is limited, and there is no WiFi at Cliffside. It tends to make for a better evening.
